Yawayi!

I’m Zoë Brown- Holten

From the stages of Sydney Festival to your living room on ABC Kids, I bring the same thing every single time — full presence, full heart, and a deep knowing of why this work matters.

I am a dancer, a suit performer, an actor and a storyteller. I have embodied characters inside puppet suits and carried the spirit of real women on screen. I have performed across national stages, listened to Country , and learned from some of the most visionary artists this country has produced. In 2025, that body of work earned me a Green Room nomination for Outstanding Performer — and I accepted that with gratitude, knowing it was only a glimpse of what is still to come.

But the credits have never been the point.

I create because my ancestors did. Long before stages and screen, my (Th)Dunghutti and Gomeroi people were storytellers — carrying knowledge, culture and truth through art. That lineage lives in everything I do. When I perform, I am not just a performer. I am a continuation.

I collaborate because community is everything. There is a fire that burns in our youth — especially our First Nations mob — and I feel it as both a privilege and a responsibility to stand beside them, nurture them and show them what is possible when you back yourself completely.

I push boundaries because that is what these art forms deserve. All of them. Not just one.
So if you're here, good. You found me at exactly the right time. Let's build something that lasts, better yet, deadly!
